Not since I quit smoking have I experienced such difficulty giving up an unsavory habit.
Sarah Palin ought to be yesterday's news. But no. She has evidently undertaken an enterprise which aims to render both Monty Python and The Onion obsolete, in terms of arch irony and patent absurdity. And I just can't look away.
Mark Twain once said that the only difference between fiction and non-fiction is "fiction has to be plausible."
If one were to propose a skit in which Sarah engages in 3 minutes of folksy Thanksgiving chit-chat in front of an automated Turkey guillotine, you'd have no takers.
Yet, behold!
